Veteran actor Shafqat Cheema is not in a coma, unlike what several news agencies have claimed. This has been corrected by his son Sheheryar Cheema, who is also a Pakistani actor.
Uncertainty grew following reports that the well-known Lollywood villain had lost consciousness due to a stroke.
His son attested that his father’s illness was limited to pneumonia. In a local magazine interview, he said, “Thank God, he is feeling well and is home now.”
Sheheryar also denied the ‘false news’ about his father’s illness in a video.
According to Sheheryar, his father Shafqat was admitted to Shalimar Hospital in Lahore for a brief stay but was later released.
