The Grammy and Pulitzer Prize-winning musician will play at one of the most prestigious music festivals for the second time, but this will be the first time he is the headlining act.

The Super Bowl will take place in New Orleans, Louisiana, on February 9.
At the 2022 Super Bowl show, Lamar shared the stage with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Mary J. Blige.
The program won an Emmy in the Outstanding Variety category.
The 37-year-old rapper, who was born in Compton, is renowned for having some of the most creative lyrics in the hip-hop world. He was the first hip-hop musician to receive the Pulitzer Prize for music in 2018.
NFL Head of Music Seth Dudowsky stated in a statement, “Time and time again, Kendrick has proven his unique ability to craft moments that resonate, redefine, and ultimately shake the very foundation of hip-hop.”
This year, Lamar gained notoriety for his public spat with Canadian rapper Drake, following the release of several disco recordings by the two artists earlier in the year.
Lamar contributed to two of the songs, “Not Like Us” by Lamar and “Like That” by Future and Metro Boomin, both of which went on to become huge hits.
