Despite the passing of several of the show’s performers, one of the leads is opening up about why she believes the series has been so successful.
The most priceless, delicate, loving, and completely unanticipated experiences I have had while working at “Three’s Company” are the numerous adults who have confided in me that “Three’s Company” provided them with a safe haven during their adolescent years—for some, the only safe haven.” Actress Joyce DeWitt, who starred alongside Janet Wood, informed the US.
Even though the last episode of the show aired in September 1984, DeWitt claims that in the forty years since then, she has had “spontaneous conversations” and received “countless letters” from fans, many of whom she believes found “comfort” in the sitcom.
DeWitt gave an explanation of why viewers liked the show: “It was a ‘time out’ from the oppressive, challenging, difficult circumstances they were navigating in their young lives.”
