Millions of devotees from all across Pakistan have gathered in Sehwan for the official start of the three-day Urs celebrations of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar.
To guarantee the attendees’ safety, stringent security measures have been implemented.
Syed Owais Qadir Shah, the Speaker of the Sindh Assembly and the acting governor of Sindh, laid a wreath of flowers at the saint’s shrine and said prayers to officially launch the Urs.
Floral wreaths and the customary “dhamal” are being offered at the shrine by devotees from throughout the nation as a sign of respect.
