ISLAMABAD: According to sources who spoke with Geo News on Thursday, the Pakistani Supreme Court has taken suo motu notice of independent senator Faisal Vawda’s harsh news conference directed against the justices of the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
Vawda criticized the IHC judges on Wednesday for their letter claiming that intelligence services were interfering with judicial matters, stating that such targeting of institutions need to end.
“Enough is enough; stop focusing on the institutions. During the press conference, the former head of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had stated, “If there is any interference by institutions, then provide evidence and we will stand together [against it].”
Speaking about the charges brought forth by the IHC judges, Vawda emphasized that agency names were being brought up again. “Give evidence and we will stand beside you,” he stated.
