In a move that could be viewed as a series of blows, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has canceled its power show scheduled on August 27 in Lahore after postponing it three days previously in Islamabad.
Following their public meeting in the federal capital on September 8, the previous ruling party’s Secretary of Information for Punjab, Shaukat Mahmood Basra, has stated that a new date for the Lahore demonstration will be announced shortly.
He gave his word that the party created by Imran Khan will give its next significant political event its whole focus.
The situation is being referred to as “another blot” on the beleaguered party’s electoral standing, as it has experienced consecutive defeats in organizing political events.
