According to reports, Anne Hathaway left a picture shoot after she got an unexpected call.
The Eileen star was spotted at the Vanity Fair cover shoot in New York on Tuesday, according to reports from The Guardian.
While getting ready for the photo shoot, Anne received a call regarding her hair and makeup. The rising star left the studio as soon as she answered this call.
“They hadn’t even started taking photos yet,” one insider revealed about the events, according to a Variety story.
The source continued, “Once Anne realized what was happening, she just got up from hair and makeup and left.”
However, it was later disclosed that she had received a call from the SAG-AFTRA union about a planned one-day walkout in support of Condé Nast at that time.
The actress and her crew had “done their due diligence and were initially OK’d for the shoot,” a second source subsequently told Page Six.
It was “not a dramatic exit,” but the sudden departure “caused some confusion,” the insider added.
The second source concluded by saying that “everything was above board” and that “great care was taken to ensure [the photoshoot] didn’t violate union rules.”
