Israeli soldiers “may have systematically violated the principles of distinction, proportionality, and precautions in attack,” according to the organization’s human rights office.

The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk, stated that it “appears to have been consistently violated” to choose strategies that avoid or at least minimize harm to civilians.
The UN office’s spokeswoman stated that there are “yet to see credible and transparent investigations,” adding that there would be a requirement for it.
Israel’s permanent deputation to the UN in Geneva described the analysis as “factually, legally, and methodologically flawed.”
Over 37,000 Palestinians have been murdered by Israel’s offensive, which was started in response to Hamas’s fatal attack on October 7, according to Gaza’s officials.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asserted on Tuesday that the US is obstructing the offensive in the southern Gaza city of Rafah and that this has caused the offensive to stall.
“It’s inconceivable that in the past few months, the administration has been withholding weapons and ammunition from Israel,” he stated.
