The US Navy has announced that the first aid shipment from a temporary dock off Gaza has arrived on shore.
In a post on the news, US Central Command reported that the assistance trucks began moving ashore around 0900 local time (0700 BST).
“This is an ongoing, multinational effort to deliver additional aid to Palestinian civilians in Gaza via a maritime corridor that is entirely humanitarian in nature,” the article stated, emphasizing that no US troops landed.
The US started building the floating base weeks ago to help supply goods to Gaza while Israel conducts its military war against Hamas.
