George Lopez claims he left a stand-up show in California 30 minutes early due to a “unruly” audience, but the location where he was performing contests this and charges him with disappointing his fans.
“George Lopez disappointed his supporters and the sold-out crowd tonight by leaving the stage thirty minutes early. Soon after the incident last Friday, Eagle Mountain Casino in Portersville, California, posted on Facebook, saying, “George hired his own private security that could have easily escorted any hecklers out.”
Lopez’s team, however, informed the New York Post that the venue “failed” to “provide a good experience for both the artist and the fans,” stating that “the crowd was overserved and rowdy, and the staff was not attentive to their needs.”
“George’s personal security team worked with the venue security staff to ensure safety, maintain order, and eject disruptive individuals,” his team continued. Sadly, the casino security team was insufficient to complete this assignment. It is not required of George to perform in a dangerous setting. He regrets that others who wanted to attend the performance were unable to do so as a result.”
