This is the first time Jade has shared her account of how she and other people successfully prosecuted Kim Avis.
For Jade, it all started in the early 2000s, when she used to go to Avis’ jewelry booth in the center of Inverness with her friends.
According to Jade, he was well-known in the community for his charitable endeavors, which included daring swims of Loch Ness, and he was frequently highlighted in the local press.
“He came to visit me one night, and he was just acting quite erratically, and he was upset about something,” she recounts.
“He got on top of a picnic table that was outside the caravan, and he started howling, and just making bizarre animal noises.”
After this, Jade claims that Avis sexually assaulted her for the first time.
Jade would endure a campaign of physical abuse at the hands of Avis. He would later rape her once more at the “Wolves’ Den,” his home.
“I remember just feeling like that was just kind of the end, this was going to be my life forever,” Jade recalls.
