Reiterating its “very clear” position, Islamabad has ruled out any negotiations with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), emphasizing that China and Pakistan have no plans to engage with the terrorist group.
“First of all, there is no dialogue taking place between the government of Pakistan and TTP,” Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stated Friday during a weekly news briefing in Islamabad.
Pakistan has made clear its position on the dialogue with the TTP, and it has stated this position repeatedly. Second, Pakistan has repeatedly stated that the plans to start negotiations with the TTP, regardless of their origins, are disrespectful to the relatives of thousands of terrorist fatalities.
