Norfolk County Council member Rob Colwell, a Liberal Democrat, expressed concern over the growing number of individuals switching to electric cars.
Since April 2023, the number of public electric charge stations in the area has grown by 63%, according to the government.
Of the 61,000 chargers throughout the nation, around 5,000 are located in the eastern part of the nation.
By 2030, the UK is expected to have 300,000 public charging stations, according to government targets.
This year, an extra 61 have been placed on average every day.
That figure must quadruple in order to meet the government aim.
