On Thursday (today), some highways in Islamabad would not be open due to the presence of foreign delegations.
According to the Islamabad Traffic Police, all access and exit points to the Red Zone will stay open but Serena Hotel Road would be restricted to traffic in both directions.
They have suggested that people who are traveling from Radio Pakistan to Srinagar Highway choose the Convention Center and Kashmir Chowk routes instead. Likewise, the Srinagar Highway is recommended for those traveling from Abpara to Bahara Kahu.
It is advised that residents who are traveling from Club Road to the Red Zone take the Srinagar Highway and Seventh Avenue. People have been advised by the Traffic Police to use caution when driving and to call the police helpline for the most recent traffic information.
