In “Smile 2,” Naomi Scott plays a pop diva who is being pursued by a malevolent force that assumes the identities of several individuals, including her late husband, who is portrayed by the younger Nicholson.
In one particular scene, Ray is shown grinning broadly before the camera, just like his father did in the iconic horror film “The Shining.”
He joked on “Mornings” about smiling with his father, saying, “My mom says, ‘Ray, you were such a beautiful boy, and then you started to look like your father.'”
