This Christmas, Sir Rod Stewart just lamented a loss.
The legendary musician gave a moving homage to Richard Perry, a music producer and close friend who died at the age of 82.
According to PEOPLE magazine, Perry passed away on Tuesday from a heart attack in a hospital in Los Angeles. He has collaborated with both Rod and the renowned band The Beatles, making the most of “his time here,” according to his friend Daphna Kastner, who verified the producer’s passing.
“Dearest Richard, farewell, my dear buddy,” the Young Turks hitmaker penned in a message posted on his official Instagram account. It’s said that a man is fortunate in life if he can name a handful of true friends, and you were undoubtedly one of them.
