You might think about Chipotle when you go to a Pizza Hut next.
Customers can see staff members prepare their orders at a pizza-making station in the middle of the restaurant, according to a new design concept the brand introduced on Tuesday. As the chain struggles with slow sales and growing competition, Pizza Hut is showcasing the renovations at a refurbished site as part of larger adjustments.
Additionally, the restaurant in Plano, Texas, has a renovated interior with warm cabinets for customer pickup and touchscreen kiosks for placing orders. In an effort to cut down on wait times, the exterior contains a drive-thru lane with a new “Hut ‘N Go” menu that serves its most popular dishes and has updated digital menu boards.
