According to Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, anyone who participated in the May 9 activities with former spymaster Lt Gen Faiz Hameed will be given preference.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, the Director General (DG) of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), responded to remarks made by the latter about vandalism on May 9 by saying that anyone who participated in the crime—whether as planners, facilitators, or beneficiaries—would pay a price.
In an interview with Samaa TV, the minister added that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supplied the personnel for the May 9 attacks, implying that party leadership would not have been able to pull this off without their support.
Asif continued, saying that the terrorists are actively impeding development in Balochistan and are to blame for the majority of the country’s development problems.
