RAWALPINDI: Three further suspects, including Zain Qureshi, a member of the National Assembly (MNA) for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), were indicted by an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Rawalpindi on Saturday in connection with the GHQ attack case involving the May 9 riots.
ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah presided over the session, and Imran Khan, the founder of the PTI, was also shown in court.
Special Public Prosecutors Naveed Malik and Zaheer Shah, as well as PTI attorneys Faisal Malik and Faisal Chaudhry, were also present at the hearing.
Raja Shehbaz Tiger and Raja Nasir Mehfooz have also been charged alongside Zain. Zain didn’t show up for the hearing.
The development of today brought the overall number of indictments to 116.
Prosecutors begged the court to block the identity cards of Bilal, Ejaz, Asim, and Shaheer, among other accused.
