According to a Friday statement from the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Karachi will continue to experience hot and dry weather until March 12.
Today, the port city’s highest recorded temperature was 37.5°C. The national meteorological service said it was 4.9°C warmer than the average for March.
On Saturday and Sunday, temperatures are predicted to rise even further, possibly reaching 38°C.
Jawad Memon, a meteorological analyst, had predicted earlier in March that temperatures in Karachi and the coastal regions of Sindh and Balochistan would noticeably decline during the month of Ramadan.
Over the following two to three days, residents of the port city should anticipate a two to three degree Celsius drop in evening temperatures.
