RAWALPINDI: According to the military’s media arm, security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the general region of Tirah in Khyber district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday, killing five terrorists, including their ringleader.
Five terrorists, including their ringleader Abidullah alias Turab, were killed when the security forces successfully engaged the terrorists’ location during today’s IBO.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a terrorist was also captured at the same time.
“Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the khwarij [terrorists], who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area against the security forces as well as killing of innocent civilians,” it stated.
