After the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership in Lahore swiftly came up with a new strategy, party members left late at night for Rawalpindi in order to evade planned police searches.
This was in response to the decision to demonstrate against changes to the constitution.
According to sources, leaders and employees both drove separately to the protest and left for it.
Members in Rawalpindi have been told by the party’s leadership to hide their political identities throughout the protest.
