Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, trailing three points with no time remaining, watched as his Hail Mary flew toward the end zone in a desperate heave.
But from the throng of Commanders and Bears on the goal line, what looked to be a ball too short for a game-winning touchdown instead became a tipped ball that traveled backwards.
Just the one behind them? The tip drill went to Commanders receiver Noah Brown, and Washington won the game 15–12 because to the amazing play.
Brown’s teammates surrounded him as the Commanders’ sideline ran.
As they shook their heads and left the field, the Bears, led by Caleb Williams, were in disbelief.
Although the scoreboard didn’t show the highest-scoring fight, it was a highly anticipated contest between Daniels and Williams, this year’s No. 1 and No. 2 picks, respectively.
