Only two of England’s thirty-man roster competing in this month’s WXV event in Canada are non-white. “We must begin focusing on other things. There’s so much untapped potential in these places where rugby isn’t as popular, and I might be biased,” she said to Sport.
Kabeya, who was up in south London, became interested in rugby “really randomly” since it was a sport that was played at her school.
“I attended Crystal Palace High School. There is obviously no rugby there,” the woman remarked.
