The relatives of Lucy Letby’s victims have received an apology from former health secretary Jeremy Hunt.
Mr. Hunt stated that Letby’s crimes had been committed “on [his] watch” when he first appeared at Liverpool Town Hall for the Thirlwall Inquiry.
The investigation focuses on how Letby, 35, worked at the Countess of Chester hospital from 2015 to 2016 and managed to kill seven newborns and attempt to kill seven more.
Hunt apologized “for anything that didn’t happen that could potentially have prevented such an appalling crime” .
