Because the sea breezes are still obstructed, Karachi is experiencing unusually hot and humid weather.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts that today’s temperature will stay between 38°C and 40°C with an estimated humidity ratio of 76% in the atmosphere.
The lowest possible temperature is 30.5°C.
The port city saw a “feels like” temperature of 51°C yesterday at 2:00 PM.
Sardar Sarfaraz, the chief PMD meteorologist, informed Geo News that Karachi would experience extremely hot and humid weather for the next three days. The sea wind will continue to be blocked during the day during this period, which will intensify the heat.
Safety measures
Due to the increasing temperatures in Karachi, medical professionals have recommended that residents stay indoors.
Water and ORS use can help avoid salt deficit.
Ingestion of food and beverages from outside sources may result in digestive issues.
They have also been told not to leave the house needlessly, especially between the hours of 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., in order to shield themselves from direct sunlight.
When heading outside, medical professionals advise protecting the head and dressing in loose, light-colored clothing.
