Punjab’s Rs 5,370 billion budget will be unveiled today.
The development budget is estimated to be in the range of Rs. 700 billion.
The goal for revenue is Rs. 1,026 billion.
It is anticipated that the NFC will give Punjab a portion of Rs3,700 billion.
A spokesman for the Punjab Finance Ministry claims that rather than adding additional taxes, the forthcoming budget will prioritize increasing tax collection and making effective use of available resources and assets for the government.
The spokesperson declared that the Punjab budget’s primary priority would be social security, health care, and education.
“At the same time, the government will prioritize the industry and agriculture sectors and pursue massive projects through public-private partnerships.”
The budget is anticipated to include efforts to provide simple access to solar systems, which can assist lower electricity bills, as well as subsidies for food and transportation in order to alleviate the inhabitants’ situation.
