RAWALPINDI: A PTI lawyer stated on Sunday that, barring further postponements, the cliffhanger ruling in the £190 million lawsuit against Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi, the founders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), is scheduled to be released on Monday (today).
At 11 a.m., Judge Nasir Javed Rana of the Accountability Court would declare the reserved judgment in the well-known case at a makeshift court in the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.
Khalid Yousuf Chaudhry, the attorney representing the PTI founder, confirmed the development, citing court employees. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecution team is also rumored to have been notified.
Due to the judge’s departure, the verdict announcement that was originally planned for this month’s sixth was postponed.
