The international legal team for Iranian dissident rapper and activist Toomaj Salehi said Monday that Salehi was freed from prison.
According to his team, Salehi, 32, has spent a total of 753 days in custody at the Dastgerd jail in Isfahan.
After Mahsa Jhina Amini, a young Kurdish-Iranian lady, died in police prison after being jailed for wearing her headscarf incorrectly, the rapper was arrested in October 2022 for supporting the nationwide lady Life Freedom protests.
Salehi had been a vocal opponent of the Iranian government for a long time. He has frequently criticized the oppressive aspects of the Iranian regime through his songs and social media posts.
