KARACHI: With a forecast of additional intense storms, torrential monsoon rain battered various parts of Karachi on Wednesday night, submerging low-lying areas of the port city.
Last night, there were sporadic showers in a few different areas of the port city, including Saddar, I.I. Chundrigar Road, Baldia Town, Defence, and North Karachi.
It is important to note that, with rare exceptions, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted intense monsoon rains from August 1 to August 6 throughout the nation.
Mithi, Sanghar, Mitayari, Nausheroferoz, Jamshoro, Umarkot, Tharparkar, Mirpur Khas, Khairpur, Thatta, Badin, Chhor, Padidan, Sajawal, Karachi, Hyderabad, Tando Allayar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, and Dadu are among the Sindh areas that experience monsoon weather, according to the Met Office.
