The Abbottabad-Murree Road is completely blocked by a major traffic jam that has trapped hundreds of visitors in miles-long lines of moving cars.
The traffic jam, which extends from Dhamtaur to Bagnotar, is the consequence of hundreds of visitors from all over Pakistan flocking to the well-known hill stations of Galyat and Nathia Gali in anticipation of the August 14th Independence Day celebrations.
The trip, which usually takes minutes, is now taking hours, which is quite inconveniencing for both visitors and residents.
Although traffic cops are working nonstop to clear the road, passengers’ careless overtaking is the main cause of the gridlock.
