The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) on Tuesday issued an updated travel recommendation, naming high-risk zones and emphasizing caution, warning British residents against traveling to numerous regions of Pakistan owing to persistent safety concerns.
The FCDO has cautioned British nationals against visiting locations within 10 miles of the Pakistan-Afghanistan border due to the increased hazards in these areas.
Additionally, some areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province, such as Bajaur, Bannu, Buner, Chārsadda, Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber, Kohat, Kurram, Lakki Marwat, Lower Dir, Mohmand, Orakzai, Peshawar, Swat, Tank, North Waziristan, Upper South Waziristan, and Lower South Waziristan, have been advised against travelers from the United Kingdom.
Additionally, it is advised that British citizens avoid traveling the Karakoram Highway between Mansehra and Chilas.
