WASHINGTON: A day before he is sworn in for a second term, four years after losing the White House to Joe Biden, President-elect Donald Trump will make a victory lap on Sunday by holding a campaign-style rally in Washington, DC.
Trump will give his first significant address in Washington since calling on his followers to march on the Capitol on January 6, 2021, in protest of his defeat. His “Make America Great Again Victory Rally” is set for 3 p.m. ET (1900 GMT) at the Capital One Arena.
In an attempt to stop Congress from approving the findings, thousands of people broke into the premises. More than 1,500 people have been charged in connection with the attack, and Trump has promised to pardon many of them.
