Trump’s speech raised concerns about his trade policies since he seemed to hint that the impending tariffs on Canadian and Mexican imports, which were scheduled to take effect on March 4, would be delayed once more.
Later, an administration official stated that the deadline was still in effect and that the president would be reviewing border security measures taken by Canada and Mexico in the days ahead.
