As they met to sign an agreement for US involvement in Ukraine’s mining industry, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy urged President Donald Trump on Friday to make “no compromises with a killer,” a reference to the leader of Russia.
As Trump begins negotiations with Moscow and Kyiv seeks to strengthen US support, the two men met in the Oval Office.
Trump’s stance is very different from Zelenskiy’s, who benefited from US weapons worth billions of dollars and moral support from the Biden administration for its war against Russia.
