According to Madeleine Westerhout, Mr. Trump would rather have her take notes than write anything himself. After editing them on paper, he would send them.
“There are certain words he liked to capitalise… like ‘country’,” she continued. “He liked exclamation points.”
Mr. Trump is charged with fabricating documents to cover up a payment made to Stormy Daniels, a porn star. He refutes the accusations.
In her testimony for the prosecution, Ms. Westerhout—who was later fired by Mr. Trump—described the tasks she carried out in 2016 while her boss was at the White House and preparing to take office.
She stated that Dan Scavino, Mr. Trump’s top adviser, had access to the @realDonaldTrump account as well.
During Trump’s presidency, Ms. Westerhout, whose desk was situated right outside the Oval Office, claimed that he occasionally asked her to print out draft tweets so he could manually modify them.
Despite being a frequent Twitter user, she claimed that Mr. Trump preferred to call her and give instructions for his posts.
