In response to monarch Charles’ offer to visit Britain, US President Donald Trump said, “His majesty the king wants to make this even better.”
Trump has received an extraordinary invitation from King Charles to make a second state visit to Britain.
Trump said in his reading of the letter that he had received an invitation to Windsor Castle, one of the royal family’s historic residences close to London.
However, Charles’ letter also hinted that Trump could wish to travel to Balmoral, which is near a golf property he owns in northeast Scotland.
Trump said of King Charles after reading the letter: “He’s a wonderful man, a beautiful man— I’ve gotten to know him very well, actually,” according to AFP. After the first term, this one comes next.
