Donald Trump’s scheduled sentence has been postponed by a New York judge while his lawyers continue to attempt to have his conviction overturned.
On November 26, Trump was initially scheduled to appear in court for sentence.
In May, he was found guilty on 34 counts of felony fraud.
His lawyers contend that his conviction ought to be overturned due to presidential immunity and the fact that it would conflict with his presidential responsibilities.
Trump’s prosecutor, the Manhattan district attorney, intends to fight that attempt, but he has recommended to the judge that the president-elect’s sentence be postponed until after his second term in office.
Fairness In order to hear the briefs from both parties, which are due in December, Juan Merchan has put a halt to all proceedings.
