Following his combat with Ukrainian forces in 2022, fellow British citizen Shaun Pinner was taken prisoner and subjected to torture by Russian forces.
Before being freed in a prisoner swap, the 50-year-old from Hertfordshire claimed to have been “electrocuted, starved, beaten, and stabbed” during his five months in custody.
Speaking just before the second anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Mr. Amin and Mr. Pinner told News that they don’t think the war will finish anytime soon and that if immediate assistance isn’t delivered, Vladimir Putin would be free to conquer more of Europe.
