Two Pakistani nationals were arrested by Saudi officials on Tuesday, according to Saudi Gazette, for their involvement in a “significant drug trafficking operation.”
The suspects were detained by the Riyadh Region Police’s Criminal Investigation and Search Department. It was stated that they were using a residential unit as a base to distribute 13,000 drug tablets.
The Pakistani citizens were subjected to legal proceedings and referred to the Public Prosecution for additional action, as per the report.
The Saudi security agencies have asked residents and people to report any suspicious activity connected to drug trafficking or smuggling and to exercise caution in the wake of this occurrence.
Authorities in Saudi Arabia have already detained Pakistanis who reside there on suspicion of narcotics trafficking.
