According to state-affiliated media, two seasoned Iranian Supreme Court judges who were well-known for hearing high-profile cases were shot dead inside the Tehran court.
According to the Iranian judiciary, the attacker, who had no open cases, killed Judge Ali Razini and Mohammad Moghiseh in a “planned assassination,” tried to escape, and then committed suicide, according to Mizan News Agency.
According to the agency, Asghar Jahangir, a spokesman for the judiciary, stated that a guard was hurt in the assault.
Veteran justices Moghiseh and Razini oversaw courts that tried activists, artists, and protestors for many years.
