An explosion near Quetta’s Western Bypass in the Akhtar Abad neighborhood injured two persons. According to reports, one of the injured people is in critical condition.
The police claim that on Saturday, two people were seriously injured when an explosive device placed by unidentified terrorists on the side of the road in the Akhtar Abad neighborhood of Quetta, close to the Western Bypass, burst with a loud blast.
One victim’s condition is critical, according to doctors at the Bolan Medical Complex Hospital, where the injured were sent right away.
Police and other law enforcement officials arrived at the scene following the explosion.
Personnel from the bomb disposal team and the Counter-Terrorism Department have roped off the area, gathered evidence, and are currently identifying the type of device—whether it was a time-controlled or remote-controlled explosion.
