According to officials on Monday, an FBI special agent who was cleared of attempted murder in a shooting at the DC Metro has been charged with raping and assaulting two women in Maryland.
According to a spokesman for the FBI’s Washington field office, Eduardo Valdivia, 40, has been placed on leave while a police investigation is conducted.
The field office released a statement saying, “The FBI takes allegations of criminal violations and misconduct very seriously.” “We are actively collaborating with the Montgomery County Police Department and are aware of the situation surrounding the recent arrest of an FBI employee. The FBI is unable to comment at this time due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.
For alleged conduct in May, Valdivia is facing ten felony and misdemeanor charges, including second-degree rape and second-degree assault.
