LONDON: Prosecutors stated during Sara Sharif’s murder trial on Monday that the 10-year-old girl’s father told police, “I beat her up too much.” Sara Sharif was discovered dead in her British home.
August 2023 saw the discovery of Sara’s body at her Woking, a town southwest of London, home during a period of “serious and repeated violence,” according to the prosecution.
At London’s Old Bailey court, her father Urfan Sharif, 42, his wife Beinash Batool, 30, and Sara Sharif’s uncle Faisal Malik, 29, are all accused of killing the girl.
The three are each accused of either causing or permitting a child’s death. Prosecutors claim that all three of them accuse each other of causing her death.
