In an “unbelievable” drive around a famous racetrack, twelve emergency trucks headed for Ukraine participated.
Since the start of the conflict, the Oxfordshire-based nonprofit organization Driving Ukraine has donated more than 150 vehicles to frontline operations.
With 28 volunteers operating the 12 vehicles and transporting £250,000 worth of aid to the western city of Lviv, the group is planning one of its largest journeys yet, which will leave the UK for Ukraine on Thursday.
The 12 cars drove four circuits around the Silverstone racetrack in Northamptonshire on Wednesday to commemorate the event.
“Unbelievable” is how Fynn Watt, who founded the group three years ago and has been attending Silverstone since he was four years old, described the experience.
