ISLAMABAD According to official notifications released on Thursday, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has announced a decrease in electricity costs for users nationwide as part of the monthly fuel charge adjustment (FCA).
While power costs for the rest of the country have been dropped by Rs2.12 per unit, K-Electric (KE) customers will experience a reduction of Rs3 per unit in their bills.
The power sector regulator’s notices state that the relief will appear on March electricity bills.
K-Electric’s price cut is based on the December 2024 adjustment, whereas the price cuts for other regions of the nation are based on the January 2025 adjustment.
In the $350 billion, unaffordable tariffs have caused societal unrest and closed enterprises.
