Under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, new information on sugar exports and price increases has surfaced.
Official records show that Pakistan exported 404,246 tons of sugar valued at Rs58.52 billion between December 2024 and February 2025.
The average domestic sugar price increased by Rs23.46 per kg throughout that time.
The average price of sugar in November 2024 was Rs131.61 per kg. It had increased to Rs155.07 per kg by February 2025.
