KARACHI: On Wednesday, a man and his spouse were killed when a speeding car struck them on Sharea Faisal while they were enjoying iftar on a pavement.
According to the circumstances, the fatal accident occurred when a speeding car lost control and crashed into a couple who were resting on a pavement close to the city’s Karsaz neighborhood.
After learning of the event, police and rescue workers arrived on the scene and took the deceased to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal procedures.
People apprehended the driver, beat him, and handed him over to the police. The driver was underage, according to the police.
The deceased, Ayaz, 31, and Aqsa, 29, were enjoying iftar while seated on the pavement when the swift car suddenly passed them.
