According to a post on X, “many comments expressed that the offer was inadequate,” according to the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM).
It follows Boeing’s fresh offer to striking employees earlier this week, which called for a 30% salary increase spread over four years.
In reaction to the News has asked Boeing for a statement.
“The survey results from yesterday were overwhelmingly clear, almost as loud as the first offer: members are not interested in the company’s latest offer that was sent through the media,” according to the post.
Boeing announced its “best and final” compensation offer on Monday, which includes a one-time $6,000 (£4,470) incentive for accepting a new pay agreement, enhanced retirement benefits, and the return of a performance bonus.
The offer, according to the firm, was contingent upon union members approving it by Friday, September 27, midnight Pacific Time (7:00 GMT on Saturday, September 28).
But according to news, Boeing made the new offer without informing the union’s delegates and conveyed it straight to union members and the media.
Additionally, it claimed that the company’s deadline left it unable to plan a member vote.
