We are always thinking of returning home as soon as possible as we enter the drugstore, frequently after enduring a lengthy, tiresome wait at our doctor’s office. We are fatigued and clutch our prescription like a golden ticket. But as soon as we enter the pharmacy and see yet another lengthy line, that bubble swiftly pops.
Adding to the problem is the counter employee’s slow speed—they are engrossed on the prescription in front of them, asking questions that don’t seem essential, and occasionally picking up the phone to call the doctor. Despite the looks of disdain from others, they settle down and begin explaining the meds to the patient just when it looks like they’re finally finished.
